Thare Machi Education believe that education saves lives and, as such, pioneer new, robust, simple teaching technologies at village level in developing countries.  As a result of this, they have formed a partnership with Computers 4 Africa to supply interactive healthcare DVDs with shipments of computers.

Rachel Butt said: “Like Computers 4 Africa we see that technology, which is considered outdated by many in the UK, has the potential to change lives. When a mutual supporter put our two organisations in touch, we were really excited at how our different visions complimented each other, and saw straight away that a partnership would increase the effectiveness of both. We are delighted to partner with Computers 4 Africa, making TME’s DVDs easily available in Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon and elsewhere and enhancing the fantastic work that they do by providing educational and interactive material to be used on the computers they send.”

Thare Machi Education was registered as a charity and limited company in 2000.  Since then the project has been extended to South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia.
