The Economist Group

The Economist Group is known for its authoritative and influential media brands, and now is making an impact on education in Africa.

Through a series of IT equipment donations to Computers 4 Africa, The Economist Group has had an estimated effect on almost ten thousand children in African schools in just one year.  A representative of The Economist Group says ‘We are in the privileged position of having fit-for-purpose IT equipment in our business, so we know how technology supports learning at all ages.  We hope the donation of some of our unneeded computer equipment will enable better education for children in Africa.'

Digital Pipeline W/A Computers 4 Africa have been privileged to work in over 20 countries across Africa as a result of generous donations from organisations, schools, and businesses like The Economist Group. The aim is to provide an easy to use and trustworthy service to donors across the United Kingdom, and in turn give them the opportunity to change a child’s life when they change their PC’s.

It is great to report that we are seeing real results from our on-going relationship with The Economist Group and look forward to the future “The world is a digital world, for you to co-operate and live in the world and to exist in the world according to times, you must be computer literate” George a 17yr old from Brainsworth School, Mombasa, Kenya.
