Microsoft makes a 'dream' come true for Computers 4 Africa

28/03/2013

Microsoft recently set a challenge for businesses and charities worldwide to make a video about how they are helping people and their planet through IT reuse. Computers 4 Africa quickly responded.

Our video titled ‘Turning Dreams into Reality’ was selected as one of ten winners across the globe - the only UK winner. The charity’s Head of Marketing, Sharon Roberts says, ‘I am delighted about our win. It’s our dream to get the message out there to people who are taking their old but still useful IT equipment to the tip. Just one PC in one year can make a real difference in the lives of up to 24 children in Africa’.

Microsoft’s Senior Business Development and Strategy Analyst, Sean Nicholson states, “Computers 4 Africa  are a valued Microsoft Registered Refurbisher showing commitment to their cause of extending the life of Windows PC to help the next generation, and showing great imagination in their wonderful video".

Microsoft is currently in the process of creating a video including Computers 4 Africa’s story along the other winners of the video competition. Our winning video can be seen below and also on Microsoft’s MRR website.
