Computers 4 Africa have an ongoing partnership with J & J Systems whose donations so far will go on to impact over 1000 children in Africa.

“Building relationships like this one is half the joy of working the UK side of Computers 4 Africa. The computers we have received from J & J Systems will make a difference over in Africa, helping to improve education for students and increase career opportunities,” Sharon Roberts, Head of Marketing.

J & J Systems have taken up our free, clean and green IT disposal service a number of times over the last few years, which has given a home to their redundant working equipment.

“J & J Systems have found that donating redundant IT equipment to Computers for Africa is an ethical method of us recycling computers, cables and other items. Often these items would have been considered as legacy equipment and deemed as useless by clients and businesses, resulting in a waste of equipment which continues to hold some life.  By donating to Computers for Africa, we are providing the equipment with a new lease of life, offering students in Africa a chance for self-development, contributing to the education of children who would not normally experience computing on any level. Our clients can be happy in the knowledge that once data has been stored on our systems the old equipment goes forward securely data wiped to a new life providing training and enjoyment for so many,” Jacqui Offen, Network Engineer, J & J Systems.

The company’s donation has allowed us to upcycle computers, repurposing them in Africa. We are helping Africa “one-child-at-a-time” and we do it with “one-computer-at-a-time”. That’s why each computer donated can transform someone’s life.
